Therapeutic Horse Riding Lesson at Heavens Hoofprints Ranch

      We have horse riding classes for all ages and abilities. Our Therapy Classes are dedicated to students with specific considerations including physical disabilities, mental disabilities, and behavioral disabilities. We welcome families to come visit first so we can meet them and they can meet the horses and staff before riding. We like to plan a lesson that meets the needs of each child that joins us. As well as teach them confidence to try new things on and off their horse,responsibility for their horse and gear, and love for all creatures.
       All Therapy classes are private lessons with just the student and their team of helpers. Our lessons are designed to help the student have the most fun, be safe, and get the best experience on the horse. We have teams classes with side-walkers, horse leader, and an instructor. For the more independent students, we have horse leaders that lead students on their horse while their learn to control the horse by rein and leg. Our independent students are able to work one on one with their instructor and control their horse by themselves. We love all kids and look forward to working with your rider whether they are 3 years old or 30 years old. 

30 Minute: Ride Only Class: $260

This is a team class and horse leader class. This class is for riders who are 4 years and older, who just want to ride. No grooming or ground games with the horse. Therapy is all done on the horses back. Our staff will groom and saddle the horse before the student arrives and will tack down the horse for the rider at the end of the lesson.
​ Each riders lesson is planned around their desires and ability. 

1 hour Ride & Groom

This can be a horse lead class or an independent rider class. This class is for students that are 5 years and older. Students will learn to groom, tack up, play ground games with the horse, and ride their horse. They will learn the basics about horses.

1.5 hour Groom, Ride, Tackdown: $260

This is the full package to learning about horses. It includes leading, haltering, grooming, riding, ground games, and tacking down their horse. This class is for students who can participate independently and love working with their horse.
