Heavens Hoofprints Show Teams
Welcome to Heavens Hoofprints Show Teams!
What is Show Team:
It is the opportunity for students to build a deeper relationship with their favorite horse, while developing their equestrian handling and riding skills further. Students are positively challenged to compete with other riders in their same age and division level in the discipline of their choice.
What Riding Teams are offered for showing at Heavens Hoofprints:
We have 4 Show Teams:
1. ETI Show Team includes: English/Western Pleasure Division, Hunter Jumper's Division, Showmanship, and Trail Obstacles Division. This team is a wonderful introduction to showing your horse. Students learn more about horsemanship, in hand leadership, and fine tune their riding skills. They also enjoy prepping their horse for show, traveling to shows, and spending the day showing their horse. ETI is a local show program that makes showing close in distance, affordable, and fun for all ages. Students earn ribbons, gift certificates for fun prizes, and can earn end of the year trophies, prizes for their placing (i.e. personalized jackets, saddle pads, halters, grooming kits, etc), and a banquet to recognize each of them.
2. Gymkhana Team: This is a competitive Western Riding Team. Students who enjoy barrel racing, pole bending, keyhole, and many more timed games, will enjoy gymkhana. The Acton Rangers, are a local organization that has created a show program that is safe, fun, and competitive for all ages and ability levels. They welcome beginners through advance competitors. Students enjoy going to competitions on the first Sunday of each month, March through November. There are 6 patterns they learn and compete in. Students compete in a division of their level of riding. Students win ribbons and can earn end of the year trophies, buckles, and saddles. All riders participate in an end of the year trail ride in Acton.
3. Trail Riding Team: We travel to local ETI Trail Rides and ride out on a 1-3 hour trail ride. Along the trail ride are 8-12 natural trail obstacles to ride your horse through, testing the riders knowledge and their horses capabilities. It is a fun and relaxing event enjoyed by all ages and ability levels. Trail riding is enjoyed by both Western and English Riders.
4. Drill Team: A team of english or western riders who compose a routine of riding patterns to music and then perform for competitions and rodeos. Teams enjoy riding their horses at walk, trot, and canter while riding in patterns with their friends. Drill team enjoys competing during the summer months with 3 competitions (June, July, August) with the Western States Equestrian Drill Team Association. Riders can look forward to winning awards and cash prizes.
